Message from Executive Director ~ Viviane Lapointe

Hello everyone,


I’ll be writing to you regularly, as a way for you to get to know me. It’s also a way for me to share my plans and activities with you.


I am excited to be joining the team at CLGS. Everyone I’ve met has been enormously helpful. Your passion and dedication is immediately evident. It is an honour to lead such a caring organization.


A best practice for leaders today is to map out a plan for their first 100 days. I’ve developed my plan, which I call 100 Days of Listening. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be touring all of our programs and meeting with staff, residents and families.


My purpose in meeting with you is to listen and learn. I want to hear your thoughts and ideas. I want to know what you are most proud of at CLGS. I want to hear your thoughts on what we could do differently. I am interesting in learning from you what the senior team should keep doing, stop doing, and, start doing to help you in your work.


I’ll also be meeting with our funders and community partners. I want to learn more about our industry and gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.


My commitment to all of you is to be open and transparent. Open and honest communication is what you can expect from me and I hope I can expect the same from you. My listening will not end after 100 days. I will continue to be visible and present across the organization.


My other commitment is to be a fierce champion of CLGS. Let us be bold in taking on new opportunities and may we be proud of the valued work we do for our community.
